Current Search Engine Positions

After an extremely busy year working on some very large projects I've eventually got round to designing and developing my new website. Unfortunately due to problems with my old host, the previous website had been down for some time, and subsequently Google had stopped visiting, which in turn meant that I had completely disappeared from the search engines (yes, all of them!) and to top it off, the website had lost its Page Rank which did used to be a PR5.

Obviously when the new website was put live, I was rather 'miffed' about this, and set about putting things right!.

Now I've not put a huge amount of time into link building, article writing etc as I've been busy with client projects, but the work I have done has really paid off! SEO is much more than just adding a few links here and there and having optimised meta tags, along with alt tags for images... there's a great deal more to it. I won't go into detail about Search Engine Optimisation as I already have all of that information here.

After only a few weeks (3 in fact), the web site has now been indexed, and is starting to very well again. Due to its success, I thought I would share with you its current rankings in Google.

Not bad SEO results

Considering the amount of time I have spent (quality time though) on SEO for the website (plus, having no PR yet), it’s great to see the website fairing much better than some of the 'Large Agencies', and in some cases beating them fair and square... aren't they advertising themselves as the experts?? You would have thought with all the man power and resources they have that a lowly freelancer wouldn't have a hope of getting near their results, never mind beating them. I suppose it all comes down to who actually knows what they are talking about.. plenty of agencies can talk the walk, but stumble when it comes to walking the walk!

Watch this space!

Over the next month or so, I'm really going to get stuck into the marketing of the UntiedShoes website, so keep an eye out on the these results, as I will be updating them periodically. Rest assured though, the big agencies have a shock comming ;)

Only the Home Page

One thing to note, all the above results are only for the homepage, all of the other pages for the website have yet to be fully indexed and ranked. The only SEO I have spent time on has been for the homepage, the next step will also include Search Engine Optimisation for all of the other sub pages.
