What's the process?

Objective: To clarify UntiedShoes & Client requirements and obligations

Upon your initial contact, I will review the project with you and clarify what is required from both parties, for example how content will be provided, by when and in what format & who primary contacts will be.

Normally a meeting is scheduled where I will spend time listening and learning about your business; its objectives, ethos and brand plus your customers. I'll ask you plenty of questions so that I can greater understand what makes your customers tick and what makes your company unique. Once this meeting is complete, and I have all the relevant information, I next produce a proposal outlining the key areas for your approval.

Objective: To approve a look & feel

Once I have received the logo and any images to be used, I will produce a number of possible design concepts for you to review. This stage gives you the opportunity to provide feedback and suggest changes before I actually start on the development of the actual web pages... Much easier to change PhotoShop layouts than HTML files.

Once the initial designs have been agreed, details are allowed to change, but the look will remain consistent.

Objective: To approve the functionality of the design.

The approved flat designs are next developed into web pages; you are able to view these in a test area over the Internet. At this stage, you can view the navigation elements etc and see how they work on the internet. Other areas that can be tested are speed, accessibility and compatibility of the webpages on other browsers.

Objective: Insert all relevant content, and create snagging list if required

Once the web pages have been developed into a series of templates, the content management system (If required) is used by yourselves and me to start adding content to the website in a quick, user friendly manner over the Internet. If no content management system is in place, I will start to add all the content you have already sent me. Once the content is added, and formatted correctly, we both go through the site with a fine toothcomb checking all spelling, gramer, and layout.

Objective: Place a live version of the website on the internet.

This is the final stage of the development stage. Once the websites content and any additional features have been added and signed of, it's time for people and the search engines to see your new website. We go through your site one last time with you, we check, check and check again to make sure everything is perfect and then add the relevant title, descriptionsand keywords to all pages for the search engines.

Once we are agreed that the site is fine to go live, we then we do so....
